Review:
The ultimate monster fest! This movie is a must-see for anyone who is even remotely a fan of Japanese monsters, Toho-style, for one main reason -- they're all in this one! Godzilla! Rodan! Mothra! Even Ghidrah makes an appearance! In the year 1999, the United Nations has managed to confine all the world's monsters on one island. Evil aliens, bent on [what else?] conquering the earth, set the monsters free in order to create a diversion as they build a secret subterranean base under Japan. Once loose, the monsters go on a world-wide rampage. Godzilla shows that he is no respecter of nations as he tromps downtown New York. My only complaint with this movie is that it's not really much of a Godzilla flick. In fact, with all these other monsters on the loose, Godzilla seems rather small.
